Blue Challenge

There is blue in this picture really… (hint: the carpet haha)

I love this napkin holder, my dad got it from the Coconut Grove Art Festival. It was handblown and is one of the most vibrant beautiful blues!

I love jean pictures! I especially love these jeans, they are my favorite (duh they are from j.crew haha)

I love the blue boxes from Ikea in my room! Oh and of course that quilled card you made me for my birthday!

The cutting board is a shade of blue! (I had to get the vanilla bean in somewhere haha)

Everyday/Room Challenge

We did this challenge the last week of school so I was in my dorm and at my house (and obviously Paul’s too). I really liked my wall of pictures at the dorm and everything familiar so I was very pleased with my pictures from this challenge. 

This picture with all the rolls of tape are from me taking down all my pictures and putting all the tape on top of an empty tissue box… I thought it looked really cool. 

I like the one of Paul a lot, he is sitting in front of the computer doing virus checks which he does everyday. I always love a chance to fit Paul in my pictures

Blue Week (:

I had a really good time with this one, mainly because I actually left my apartment and there were so many blue things around! The day we decided to pick a color I walked around a lot and thought I would pick the color that I saw the most interesting things in, and it was overwhelmingly blue (: ok here they are

This one isn’t predominately blue but the subject of the photo is, so I think it’s allright. I love the way the little white flower weeds look at the top.. I had a straightforward photo of the words but the flowers don’t look so neat so I chose this one

There are two things I think about when I see arrows: Mitch Hedberg’s joke about how it would suck if an arrow killed you because they would be investigating like hey look a dead guy… let’s go that way hahahah and then in the Strong Bad emails, there’s one Teen Girl Squad where the person gets ARROWED and he says it really funny…

OH MY GOD i love these… the light was just so perfect and when i metered on the light bulb the rest of the photo came out so nicely. the bike racks look so cool in the background.. I have about a billion of this stand because it just looked so perfect.

jeez I waited so long to get this person walking behind the shot haha it was worth it. I guess the blue of the light was just so nice, that is one reason why I liked these photos so much

boy did I have a hard time finding a blue flower – most were too purple and I would not settle! Anyway I found this guy in my neighborhood just in a different direction from the school and the bus stop so I never go that way haha I probably wouldn’t be able to find it again because I wandered around so much that day

I think I really like these types of photographs, where you have a bunch of geometric shapes or sections made from the corners of different things..

Well those are my blue pictures! This is the best challenge week I’ve had in a while, which is kind of silly since you didn’t have much opportunity to take a lot of pictures, Alyssa :/ oh well I’m glad that I’m excited about these again! (:

I got some okay photos for this week – it was a blah week so I didn’t get out much and that’s where the trees are haha. I really like the ones with the flowers/buds because the colors came out so vibrantly, and the one with the number tag is really neat. It’s funny that I have two with animals as the subject but technically they are on trees

Portraits

french braid

This photo was super dark by accident but I didn’t realize it until it was too late and I wanted my glorious attempt at a french braid to be in here! I think it looks kinda neat.. the graininess goes nicely with the messiness of my hair since I was laying down on it haha. I’ve been playing with cropping some of my photos into a square – that’s what I have to do for etsy and it’s fun to take the shot knowing that it’ll be a square later.

Haha I wasn’t sure about this one and now it didn’t work four times in a row when I tried to load it here haha it’s a sign!! oh well. It’s funny – my hair does such interesting curvy lovely shapes for the camera this week, just not in real life.. haha

Of course my octopuses have to show up a lot because they are practically taking over my life I just love having so many in all different bright beautiful colors

I LOVE THIS ONE! Okay, first of all “Gameboy Camera” “Gameboy TM” and “Gameboy Color” haha three times really? And Nintendo twice? Guess they don’t want us to forget what we are playing haha I think it looks funny.

So back when GC was new, my brother and I had one (he had the purple, this green one was mine) and we had the game Gameboy Camera – SO AWEOME! There’s a printer that goes along with it but it needs six AA batteries, which I never have all at the same time so I don’t know if that part still works, but it connects with a cable and then prints out your pictures on sticker paper, it’s choice.

Anyway there’s a little feature that lets you do split portraits so the top left (yeah ok the freakishly large alien eyeball gives it away, I know hahaha) and bottom right are my face and the top right and bottom left are Luiza’s face.. HOW FLIPPIN SWEET! haha these are so fun to d. Also you can take a picture of your face then put it on a little cartoon and make yourself juggle, it’s like a game where you have to move your hands to catch all the balls haha I can’t even begin to say all the cool things about this game

Chris with one of those crazy pillows that are super squishy, they are filled with tiny tiny foam balls or something? I don’t know, they were really popular a couple years ago or something? Love those things.. wish mine hadn’t been busted by one of the boys haha

warioware

haha so many video game themed pictures this week haha. Mitch is playing Warioware, I think that’s what it’s called.. my favorite mini game thing is the one where you have to high five this girl and then she goes flying and lands flat on her back like you just punched her super hard or something! hahaha! and there’s an Animal Crossing one that’s so cool! I love this photo because Mitch looks awesome but the faces that Chris and Luiza are giving him are PRICELESS!

tickling Luiza! oh I meant to say – check out those super choice hand chairs! Those two red things in the back left!! I love them!!! I like how Mitch and Luiza have got some motion blur going on but then Chris’ hand on the back of the chair is super in focus

Okay so this one is from tree week but I couldn’t resist! I wish this happened during portrait week because of all the great pictures of the cat! anyway the cat looks totally evil in this picture haha and Luiza looks so adorable and gotta love the Guitar Hero pj pants (:

Where'd they go?

These are my feet pictures. I really like the last one a lot, it’s at John’s house in this patch of grass that mushes down so deep you can barely see my feet haha. This was pretty hard because you only have one view of your feet and I  tried to get away from that, although the ones from above do look the best.
